a way with watercolor? away with watercolor!

. . . well kids, here's the skinny . . . after the watercolor you saw in the previous post THINGS TOOK A TURN FOR THE WORSE!  I did about a half dozen watercolors and this is the only one I wanted to post.  It is supposed to be a lady in a field of flowers walking toward a house.  First I was painting and drinking a delicious 'coffee water'.  The next thing I knew I was dipping in the coffee water and drinking the watercolor water.  Oh well, back to the drawing board.

This is too cool, you used coffee in your painting, where's the coffee cup... oh I bet it's in front of her, of course, silly me.
Love the intensity of the color for the shadowy parts.

I'm laughing Myra because I've done exactly the same thing; dipped the brush in my drinking water and tried to drink the paint water....yuk! Now I use wide bowls for paint water and not cups and I always keep my drink away from my work surface to prevent spills. Though I must admit, I have thought of doing a sepia painting using only various strenths of coffee. Sounds interesting doesn't it! Your watercolor is very ice. Don't give up, you can trust me......it takes a lot of practice, and more practice, and more practice. I can't tell you how many paintings I've ruined.
