pastel colors 2 for you know who . . .

Did the previous pastel scare you?  Don't feel bad - it scared me a little too!  This is another practice pastel on heavy cardboard - warming up for 'a summer of color fun'.  Once again I just drew it and without fussing over any details just painted it!  She looks like me - if I were 50 - okay - 100 pounds lighter and had long flowing hair!  (Okay - maybe the eyes!)

Hi Myra, I was wondering if you are familiar with Sharon Knettell. She does beautiful works of ballet dancers, many of them in pastel. I think you would enjoy her site and learn a lot just from observing her lovely paintings. Congratulations on all the progress you have been making with your drawings!

Fabulous colors, Myra. When I paint pastel, I don't like fusing over shapes, as usually painters do it. Yes, If it were not for the hair it looks like you.
